Products liability: Honeywell issues hard hat recall

Individuals in various industries utilize tools to help keep them safe and to help them carry out their work-related duties. When equipment does not function properly, the risk for workplace injuries could increase. If a worker does become injured due to a defective product, they may have reason to explore various options for seeking compensation, including products liability claims.

Connecticut residents may be interested in a recent recall that affects hard hats. Workers from construction to cable installation utilize hard hats in hopes of keeping their heads safe from certain injuries. The report stated that the company Honeywell has recalled over 82,500 hard hats due to putting users at risk of suffering head injuries because the hats do not protect as well as they should.

The hats were manufactured in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and they were sold in various colors. The hats were also sold from various distributors, including online from retailer Amazon. At the time of the report, there had been no injuries reported in relation to the defective hard hats at the time of the report. It was recommended that users discontinue use of the hats immediately.

If Connecticut residents do become injured due to the use of these hats or another defective product, they may have reason to seek compensation. Gaining information on products liability claims could help interested parties determine whether taking legal action could suit their circumstances. In order to gain evaluations of their cases, injured individuals may wish to consult with legal professionals to better understand whether taking such action could be warranted.
