A woman in the vehicle that was hit was taken to an area hospital, but her injuries proved fatal. Her child was also in the vehicle, but he apparently suffered only minor injuries. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was reported as being a 24-year-old man, and he was taken into custody for possession of a stolen weapon and possession of narcotics. The incident was still under investigation at the time of the report.
